A Picture of Sunlit Simplicity
THERE'S a lot to be said for simplicity. In an ever more complicated world, a bit of minimalism doesn't go amiss.
Hence my Bowl of Fruit with a Sunlit Window, a hastily drawn picture reflecting the freshness of a summer kitchen setting.
This qualifies for my series of Ten Minute Creations, in which I try to make simple lines do all the talking, with no suggestion of shading or tone.
Picasso, among others, was a master of minimalism. His brilliant 14-line sketch of Shakespeare is a case in point.
Anyway, take it or leave it. I quite like it.
